If you have ever watched Hardcore Pawn or are a fan of the show, you may have noticed it seems a little scripted. Some have went as far as to question if the Golds really even work there full time.
The answer is yes, sort of. Les and Seth Gold do go to work at the shop daily. However, Ashley is another story. According to several sources, she only shows up during production. When the show is not filming, Ashley is no where to be found. She does it for the publicity... and the money of course.
Ashley Gold is married to Jordan Broad. Mr. Broad is quite the entrepreneur. Daddy Les has made a decent living hustling desperate people out their tennis shoes but Sugar Daddy J.B. is where "Ash" gets her dollar bills.
Mr. Broad is the CEO of The Institute for Applied Creativity, the COO of Chalkfly.com and even has a consulting business, JRB Market Consulting. He was the force for Intel during the worldwide launch of the Pentium 4 processor. Pretty impressive resume. Jordan was also the brains behind the book that a ghostwriter wrote, For What It's Worth: Business Wisdom from a Pawnbroker
Why would anyone show up to a J.O.B. everyday and endure the abuse they portray on this show? They wouldn't and she doesn't.
So don't feel sorry for Ash when some "staged" customer gets all up in her grill. She can endure it in order to get that paycheck from the production company. Does she need the money? Of course not but when you have Gold blood running through your veins, you grab all you can get.
I'm guessing Ashley's hubby ain't all that. Just read his Linkedin profile and he hasn't kept a job for much longer than a year. LinkedIn profile is him trying to glorify every short term occupation into some glorious high level Executive position as his "Intel" claims and wasn't even there for more than a few months. Calling yourself CEO is not that hard too do either, I own several Web sites and I guess I could say I am CEO of those. Besides just look at Ashley, do you really think some high profile exec is going to be married to her, let alone allow her to parade on a trashy low budget TV show? I don't think so and she needs the cash and Les is still her sugar daddy.

Apparently you don't understand how pawn shops work.They aren't conning anyone.They aren't forcing people to frequent their business. They offer a services to people who are down on their luck and need fast cash the legal way. Their policies are just like any other pawn shop out there so no, they aren't charging more and taking advantage of people. Their religion has nothing to do with their business either.
